                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is my attempt at building the beautiful Aston Martin Valkyrie kit by Alpha Model. I went in a different direction in regards to the paint scheme. I chose a white base coat, with a Red Interference Pearl top coat by Scalefinishes. When I started that, I had no idea what the final product was going to look like, but I'm pleased with the final product.</p>
<p>Overall, it is a great kit to build. And a little challenging in trying to get the windshield formed to the right shape. Mine didn't come out nearly as good as Break Wong's and some of the other builds I've seen, but I'm still learning...</p>

<h3>Meet the Aston Martin Valkyrie</h3>
<p>Before we open a single box, it is worth understanding just what Break Wong agreed to recreate in 1/24 scale. The Aston Martin Valkyrie is not a conventional supercar — it is a road-legal hypercar developed jointly by Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, with Adrian Newey's Formula 1 design philosophy visible in every surface. The target was uncompromising: a car built around its driver and its aero, with no styling line that did not first have a job to do.</p>
<p>At its heart sits a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre Cosworth V12 — one of the most powerful atmospheric engines ever fitted to a road car — paired with a Rimac-supplied hybrid system for a combined output of around 1,160 PS. With a target dry weight barely above a tonne, the power-to-weight ratio is in genuine race-car territory. The teardrop cockpit, the underfloor Venturi tunnels, the exposed wishbones and the near-absence of a conventional top surface all exist to manage airflow. Recreating that density of engineering in miniature is exactly the kind of challenge Alpha Model's full-detail resin range is designed for.</p>

<p>As a full-detail release, AM02-0102 models the car the way it is actually built: a separate structural tub and floor, a fully detailed cockpit with harnesses, vented ceramic brake discs with locking rings, multi-part aero surfaces, and an extensive decal programme that reproduces the Valkyrie's exposed carbon weave in multiple areas. The build guide Break produced runs to 88 pages, and this forum series follows it in order.</p>
<h3>Choosing the Colour</h3>
<p>The finished car is finished in a luminous Aston Martin Racing Green / teal with satin-black aero sections and lime accents on the diffuser trim, harness pads and wheel centre-locks. The guide opens with the full factory palette, because the same kit can be built in everything from subdued black to bold heritage colours.</p>

<h3>Reading the Part Labels</h3>
<p>Throughout the guide, parts carry short codes that are worth learning up front: <strong>R</strong> numbers are resin components, <strong>PE</strong> numbers are photo-etched metal, <strong>D</strong> and <strong>CD</strong> numbers are waterslide decals (carbon weave and detail markings), <strong>F</strong> marks clear parts, while <strong>K</strong> and <strong>M</strong> denote turned-metal and machined items such as the wheel hubs and centre-lock hardware. Yellow labels in the photos indicate decal placement, teal labels the underlying part.</p>
<p>The very first job, before any glue or paint, is the one every experienced modeller knows: count everything, inspect every resin casting under good light, and report anything missing or damaged to the retailer in time. With a kit of this complexity, a missed bubble or a short-shipped PE fret is far easier to fix on day one than at final assembly.</p>
<p>Next time, Break begins work on the single most visible component of the whole build — the body shell — with primer, panel-line rescribing and a disciplined sanding routine.</p>

<p><em>The Ferrari 812 Superfast — the most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine of its era, captured here as a 1/43 scale full detail resin kit by Alpha Model.</em></p>
<p>The Ferrari 812 Superfast (Type F152M) is a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced by Ferrari that made its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It is the direct successor to the F12berlinetta. The design takes inspiration from the 365 GTB/4 Daytona — a two-box, high-tail silhouette echoing Pininfarina's legendary proportions, though styled at the Ferrari Styling Centre.</p>
<p>As Ferrari's flagship front-engined V12 grand tourer, the 812 Superfast is powered by a 6,496 cc (6.5 L) F140 GA V12 — an enlarged version of the 6.3-litre unit used in the F12berlinetta. It produces 800 PS (588 kW; 789 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 718 N·m (530 lb·ft) of torque at 7,000 rpm. Power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox manufactured by Getrag. In 1/43 scale, the challenge is to capture the sweeping proportions and muscular surfacing of this long-nose GT in miniature — especially the iconic quad circular taillights and the body-coloured rear diffuser.</p>

<h3>Unboxing the Kit</h3>
<p>After opening the product packaging, take out all the component bags and the car body. Components that are prone to damage during transit include the A-pillars, brake calipers, rims and other small parts. Once it is confirmed that no parts are damaged, inspect whether the etched sheets have bending or damage and whether the water decal sheets have stains. After ensuring that all standard items are in proper condition, you can begin preparations for assembly.</p>
